Dr. Carr has been involved in the education process for over 20 years. During that time, Dr. Carr has taught at the University of Bridgeport (UB) Colleges of Chiropractic, Naturopathy, and Nutrition Institute. Some of the course topics Dr. Carr has taught at UB include anatomy and physiology, neuroscience, physical exam skills, and chiropractic manipulative technique. In addition, Dr. Carr has supervised student interns in the UB outpatient clinic, as well as within his office in Fairfield. Dr. Carr also teaches post-graduate level classes for UB in spinal injury diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Carr has also been as instructor at the CT Center for Massage Therapy in Westport CT, where he has taught basic science and hands on classes. These have included classes on anatomy, physiology, neurology, pathology, kinesiology, as well as post-graduate level anatomy courses taught using cadavers.
Dr. Carr has also taught anatomy and physiology for Sacred Heart University, and classes on research and nutrition for the Graduate Institute in their Masters Program in Experiential health and Healing.
Besides enjoying teaching, Dr. Carr feels that the teaching process furthers his own education, pushing him to be “the expert” in his area of instruction, while continuing to advance the knowledge level of his chosen profession.
