Dr. Brett Carr graduated with honors, magna cum laude from Colgate University, and was elected into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society for academic excellence. He later graduated from the University of Bridgeport as a Doctor of Chiropractic, graduating summa cum laude, while also completing his Masters degree in Clinical Nutrition.
Dr. Carr has had extensive post-graduate education in rehabilitation, neurology, sports chiropractic, and soft-tissue techniques. He has also taught post-graduate courses for the University of Bridgeport on Spinal Pain and Rehabilitation, and has taught human cadaver anatomy for the CT Center for Massage Therapy. Dr. Carr recently co-wrote a chapter on stabilization exercises for the cervical spine published in 2010, and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Carr treats numerous athletes, and competes when time permits it. He is a category 3 cyclist, former rower, black-belt martial artist, and recently completed his first triathlon in 25 years.
Dr. Carr is now certified in acupuncture as well.
